Puri, Oct 30: In anticipation of the sacred Anla Navami festival, Puri Police has issued traffic advisory for devotees visiting the Sakhigopal Temple for the rare Radha Pad Darshan.
The advisory, effective from midnight on October 30 until the conclusion of darshan on November 1, outlines route charts and parking instructions to manage the expected influx of over five lakh devotees.
According to the advisory:
- Light vehicles coming from Bhubaneswar via College Chhak must park at Kotho Upara and BSNL ground, and return via the same route.
- Vehicles entering through Sakshi Gopal Bazaar must park near the railway level crossing and exit via NH-316.
To assist pilgrims, a 24-hour police helpline has been activated. Barricades have been installed for orderly darshan, and arrangements for drinking water, sanitation, and separate parking zones have been made.

The spiritual highlight of Amla Navami is the darshan of Maa Radharani in her rare Odiani Besha, alongside Lord Krishna in Natabara attire. This once-a-year glimpse is believed to bestow immense spiritual merit upon devotees.
The Sakhigopal Temple, adorned for the occasion, is set to welcome devotees from across the state and beyond, marking one of the most spiritually significant events of the Kartika month.
