Dhenkanal, Sep 30: In a heartbreaking incident, a youth, who went to meet his girlfriend near her residence, died after coming in contact with a live electric wire.

The tragedy took place under Sadar police station area in Dhenkanal district.

According to reports, the victim, a resident of Similia village, was on his way to meet his girlfriend when he came into contact with a live electric wire near her house and died on the spot.

The incident has sparked outrage and sorrow among locals.

Following the incident, the deceased youth’s family has alleged foul play and filed a complaint, accusing possible involvement in his death.

On basis of the complaint, police have launched an investigation into the matter, and further details are awaited.
