Ganjam, Dec 20: A heartwarming reunion unfolded in Chancharapalli village under Dharakote block of Ganjam district, where a man who had been missing for 27 years finally returned home.
The missing villager, Jitendra Kumar Jena, had left for Surat, Gujarat, in 1998 in search of employment to support his family. However, soon after his departure, his family and relatives lost all contact with him. Despite years of searching, no information about his whereabouts could be found, and eventually, his family gave up hope of ever seeing him again.
To everyone’s surprise, Jitendra suddenly arrived back in his native village a few days ago. His return sparked scenes of joy and tears among family members, neighbours, and the entire community, who were overwhelmed to see him alive after such a long absence.

Jitendra revealed that during his time in Surat, he had met
with a road accident which caused severe memory loss. Due to this condition, he
was unable to recall his home or return for decades. Only recently did he
regain enough clarity to find his way back to his birthplace.
