✨The Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC) will prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and oversee construction. The land behind Niladri Bhakta Nibas on Grand Road has already been developed for the project, and the temple administration has sought financial support from the state government.
According to officials, the ground floor of the new complex will feature a modern conference hall, a welfare mandap for servitors, and a high‑quality dispensary. The initiative is expected to significantly improve facilities for pilgrims visiting Puri and provide essential infrastructure for temple servitors.
Last year, a meeting chaired by the Works Department Minister had already approved the construction of the new Bhakta Nibas on temple land near Shrimarg. In line with that decision, OBCC has been tasked with preparing the DPR.
During the latest committee meeting, Gajapati Maharaja, the Chief Administrator of Shree Mandir, the Puri District Collector, and other members held detailed discussions with OBCC officials.
Temple Chief Administrator Arabinda Kumar Padhee confirmed
that the DPR preparation and construction work will be expedited. He emphasized
that the proposed Patitapaban Bhakta Nivas will serve as a vital facility for
devotees and servitors, enhancing the pilgrimage experience in Puri.
