Twin Threats

Earlier in the day, a joint operation by Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana Police led to the seizure of 350 kg of suspected ammonium nitrate, an assault rifle, a pistol, and 20 timers from a rented house in Faridabad’s Dhauj village. The arrested suspect, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel—a Kashmiri doctor employed at a local university—had reportedly rented the property three months ago.

Nationwide Vigilance

The proximity and timing of both incidents have prompted law enforcement agencies across India to heighten security. Puri’s swift response highlights the urgency to protect religious and tourist hubs from emerging threats.
