Cuttack, Sep 26: The salaries of 14 senior officials were halted by the Cuttack District Collector for failing to address public grievances submitted through both the Central and State Janasunani (public hearing) portals.
The officials facing salary suspension include Block Development Officers (BDOs) from Mahanga, Nischintakoili, Narasinghpur, Salepur, Niali, Athagarh, and Tigiria blocks.
Additionally, the Chief District Medical Officer, TOCODL officials, Chief District Agriculture Officer, Chief District Veterinary Officer, PD DRDA, Executive Engineer of the Kathajodi Mahanadi System, and engineers from R&B Division 2 and RW Division 1 have also been named in the list.
The directive was issued via an official letter from the Additional District Magistrate, citing failure to resolve citizen complaints within the stipulated time frame.
The move underscores the administration’s commitment to accountability and responsiveness in public service delivery.
Officials have been warned that further disciplinary action may follow if grievances continue to be neglected.
