Puri, Sep 24: The body of a young woman was recovered from the railway tracks in Puri district. The deceased has been identified as Khusi Raut, a first-year undergraduate student at Government Women’s College here.
According to reports, the body was found in a severely dismembered state, with one leg severed and multiple injuries across various parts of the body, suggesting a possible collision with a train.
On being informed about the incident, Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem examination.

✨Authorities also recovered the victim’s college ID card and mobile phone, which helped confirm her identity.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
