Bhubaneswar, Sep 5: The Odisha Uniformed Services Selection Commission (OUSSSC) has announced that the recruitment process for constable-level posts and services under the Odisha Police and other departments has commenced.

The commission said a detailed advertisement containing information on the number of vacancies, eligibility criteria, selection process and other recruitment-related rules would be published shortly.

The announcement is also significant for candidates who have already applied for the Combined Police Services Examination (CPSE)-2024. The commission said necessary steps are being taken on a priority basis to expedite the examination process for applications received under CPSE-2024.

Acknowledging the widespread interest and concerns among candidates regarding the recruitment and examination process, OUSSSC said it was taking all necessary preparatory measures to ensure that the examination is conducted smoothly, fairly, transparently and securely in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures.

Candidates who have applied for CPSE-2024 have been advised to continue their preparations for the examination and regularly follow official updates issued by the commission.

OUSSSC further said all important information regarding the examination schedule and other necessary instructions would be released through its authorised and official communication channels and on the commission's website once the details are finalised.

The commission urged candidates to remain alert, continue their preparations and rely only on official communications for updates concerning the recruitment and examination process.

It also reiterated that coordinated efforts are being made to expedite the recruitment and examination processes while safeguarding the interests of candidates and ensuring transparency, fairness and integrity throughout the process.
