Bhubaneswar, Sep 20: An Ola cab driver, who was missing for past few days, was found dead inside Chandaka forest near Bhubaneswar early this morning.

The driver, identified as Vidyadhar Sahu, had reportedly been abducted on September 15 and his family had filed a missing person complaint shortly after the incident.

Sources indicate that the abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore, although the motive and identity of the perpetrators remain under investigation.

The discovery of the body has sent shockwaves through the local community and raised serious concerns about safety for transport workers operating in and around the capital.

Bharatpur Police along with the scientific team rushed to the scene and initiated a probe into the incident. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage and mobile records to trace the sequence of events leading to the abduction and murder.
