Bhubaneswar, Oct 11: The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) regional centre here has issued a yellow warning for 21 districts across Odisha, predicting moderate to heavy rainfall.
According to IMD's latest update, the cyclonic system has formed near the northern Andhra Pradesh coast and adjoining regions. Under the influence of this, widespread showers are expected to affect coastal and interior districts.
Following this, the weather department have advised people to stay updated with local weather bulletins and avoid low-lying areas prone to flooding.
Authorities are also on alert to manage any emergency situations that may arise due to the prolonged rainfall.
