Malkangiri, Sep 28: The Odisha Vigilance Department conducted simultaneous searches at various properties linked to Sishir Kumar Dash, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) working in Mathili block of Odisha's Malkangiri district, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches were conducted at six locations in Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Malkangiri on September 27.
Crores Worth Of Assets Detected
During the preliminary searches, Vigilance officials detected a four-storey building measuring around 6,760 square feet in Bhubaneswar's Baramunda, and a two-storey building measuring around 2,500 square feet in Brahmapur's Nilachal Nagar.
Officials also detected six valuable plots, including three in Brahmapur, one in Puri, one in Khordha and one at Gobara in Ganjam district. The measurement and valuation of the properties were being carried out by the technical wing of the Vigilance Department at the time of filing this report.

The searches also led to the detection of deposits worth Rs 30 lakh, one Hyundai i10 car and three two-wheelers -- a Yamaha FZS, Hero Splendor and Yamaha Cygnus scooter, according to Vigilance.

Searches Conducted At Six Locations
The searches were conducted at Dash's four-storey building in Baramunda, Bhubaneswar; his building in Nilachal Nagar, Brahmapur; a house at Gobara in Ganjam; his ancestral house at Gajapati Nagar in Brahmapur; his rented house in Malkangiri; and his office chamber at DRDA Malkangiri.
Six teams comprising one Additional SP, five DSPs, five inspectors and other staff members took part in the searches.
Dash was questioned by Vigilance sleuths about the sources of the properties held in his name and in the names of his family members.
The Vigilance Department said more properties could be detected during the ongoing searches and that the total valuation could increase.
Dash's Government Service
Dash began his government service in 1998 as a Scheme Junior Engineer (JE) at Kundra block.

Dash's Government Service

He was promoted to Assistant Engineer in 2022 and to Assistant Executive Engineer in February 2026. He joined as AEE at Mathili block in April 2026.
