Recruitment Scam / Odisha SI Exam Scam: Two More Including SSB Candidate Detained For Questioning

Cuttack, Dec 7: Two more persons including an SSB candidate have been detained in connection with the Odisha Police Sub‑Inspector (SI) recruitment scam.

Officials confirmed that after two days of sustained interrogation, SSB candidate Arjun Nayak has been taken into custody. Alongside him, another accused, Nimai Charan Sahu, was also detained.

According to reports, Nimai is a close associate of Biranchi Nayak, who had already been arrested earlier in connection with the scam.

Both Arjun and Nimai underwent mandatory medical examinations before being escorted to the CBI office for further questioning.

Sources indicate that the arrests are part of a larger crackdown aimed at uncovering the network behind the fraudulent recruitment practices.

The Police SI exam scam has triggered widespread outrage, with allegations of manipulation and corruption in the recruitment process. The CBI has been conducting raids, interrogations, and detentions to trace the masterminds and collaborators involved.

Currently, Biranchi Nayak remains in CBI remand as investigators continue to piece together evidence.

The fresh detentions are expected to provide crucial leads in exposing the extent of the scam and identifying other individuals linked to the conspiracy.

Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against all those found guilty, as the investigation progresses.
