Bhubaneswar, Sept 12: Odisha has attracted investment proposals worth over Rs2.43 lakh crore during its threeday outreach programme in the United Arab Emirates, with the potential to generate more than 6.18 lakh jobs across diverse sectors, officials said on Saturday.

Positioning Odisha Globally

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi described the outreach as a milestone in the state’s industrial journey, saying Odisha is positioning itself as a hub for valueadded manufacturing, technologydriven industries, and global partnerships.

In a post on X, Majhi said: “Odisha’s threeday UAE Investment Outreach has added fresh momentum to the States growth journey, with 2.43 lakh crore+ in proposed investments and employment potential of 8.95 lakh+. The response from global businesses and strategic partners reflects the growing strength of Odisha as a destination for newage industries, manufacturing and enterprise….

HighLevel Engagements

Majhi led a delegation that held 32 onetoone investor meetings and roundtable discussions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The programme resulted in 24 agreements, including eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and 16 investment intent forms (IIFs), according to an official statement.

Major Agreements

Among the key signings, CAZBAA Project Ventures FZCO committed to LNG storage facilities, while Rana Holdings Limited pledged investments in green energy, AI data centres, and rare earths. Sharaf Group signed an agreement in the housing sector, and PTCL Infrastructure expressed interest in steel and downstream manufacturing.

Additional investment intents came from Dalwin Marine and Turbo Power Engineering for shiprepair facilities, Ion Technologies Pvt Ltd for a propellant manufacturing plant, and Agrifields FZCO for fertiliser and chemical projects.

Investor Meet in Dubai

The final day featured the Odisha Investors’ MeetUAE 2026 in Dubai, attended by nearly 400 business leaders and investors. Majhi presented Odishas industrial ecosystem, investorfriendly policies, and opportunities in emerging sectors, inviting UAE businesses to partner in the state’s growth.

Diaspora Connect

CM Majhi also interacted with over 800 members of the Odia diaspora in Dubai, lauding their role in strengthening Odisha’s global identity. He visited Emirates Global Aluminium to study advanced aluminium manufacturing practices for potential downstream integration in Odisha.
