Abu Dhabi, Sept 9: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reached the headquarters of International Holding Company (IHC) in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday as part of the state’s investor outreach campaign in the United Arab Emirates. The visit marks a significant step in Odisha’s efforts to attract foreign direct investment and strengthen strategic partnerships.
CM Majhi was accompanied by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, and senior officials including Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries, Home, and Information & Public Relations. The high‑level delegation was welcomed by IHC’s CEO and Managing Director Syed Basar Suhaib and IRH CEO Ally Al Rashid. The reception featured a traditional Arabic dance, which the Chief Minister praised warmly.
The Odisha delegation engaged in discussions with IHC and
its partner companies on potential investments across strategic sectors.
Officials highlighted Odisha’s natural resources, industrial capacity,
strategic geographic location, and rapidly developing infrastructure as key
advantages for global investors.

Earlier, CM Majhi interacted with the Odia community in the UAE, focusing on strengthening socio‑cultural and industrial ties between Odisha and the Gulf nation. The outreach campaign aims to position Odisha as an attractive investment destination while deepening bilateral cooperation.
