Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: A solemn ceremony was held today at the Odisha Legislative Assembly premises to commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Governor, Speaker of the Assembly, along with several ministers and senior officials paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

Adding to the spirit of the occasion, a photo exhibition showcasing key moments from Gandhi’s life and legacy was organized within the Assembly campus. The exhibition drew attention to his enduring message of peace, non-violence, and social justice.

Leaders and spiritual figures from various faiths also participated in the program, reflecting Gandhi’s vision of unity in diversity and communal harmony.

The celebration served as a reminder of Gandhi’s timeless ideals and their relevance in today’s society, inspiring citizens and leaders alike to uphold the values of truth, tolerance, and service.
