Odisha Govt Effects IAS Reshuffle; Seven Officers Get New Assignments

The Odisha government has reshuffled seven IAS officers, assigning them new responsibilities across key departments. The changes cover Home, Forest and Environment, Secondary Education, Excise, AYUSH, Information and Public Relations, and the Odisha Maritime Board, according to a government notification.

Bhubaneswar, Aug 25: The Odisha government on Tuesday effected a reshuffle of seven IAS officers, assigning them new responsibilities across various departments.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, Birendra Korkora, IAS (SCS-2014), Director, Secondary Education, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to the Government, Home Department.

Aradhana Das, IAS (SCS-2014), Additional Secretary in the Home Department, has been transferred and appointed as Additional Secretary to the Government, Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department.

Jugaleswari Dash, IAS (SCS-2015), Director, OBC, has been appointed as Director, Secondary Education.

Archana Das Pattnaik, IAS (SCS-2015), Additional Secretary in the Excise Department, has been appointed as Director, AYUSH.

Anjana Panda, IAS (SCS-2015), Director, AYUSH, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to the Government, Excise Department.

Sanjay Kumar Biswal, IAS (NSCS-2015), Additional Secretary in the Commerce & Transport Department, has been appointed as Director, Information and Public Relations, Bhubaneswar.

Meanwhile, Sundara Madhaba Padhi, IAS (NSCS-2020), Deputy Secretary in the Works Department, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of the Odisha Maritime Board. He has also been allowed to continue holding additional charge as General Manager of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC).

The reshuffle covers key portfolios including Home, Forest and Environment, Secondary Education, Excise, AYUSH, Information and Public Relations, and the Odisha Maritime Board.
