Remuna/ Balasore, Apr 21: The Odisha government has once again demonstrated its commitment to social welfare and women empowerment through the CM Kanya Bibaha Yojana, a scheme designed to support poor families struggling to meet marriage expenses for their daughters.

On Tuesday, a special program was organized in Balasore under the scheme, where the government extended financial assistance to ensure that marriages could be solemnized without financial obstacles. The initiative has been widely appreciated as it provides relief to families who otherwise face immense challenges due to lack of resources.

Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida attended the event, highlighting the importance of the scheme in uplifting marginalized communities. Speaking at the ceremony, she emphasized that the government’s intervention ensures that no daughter’s marriage is delayed or denied due to financial constraints.

Several dignitaries were present at the program, including Member of Parliament Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Government Chief Whip Gobinda Chandra Das, District Collector Suryabanshi Mayur Vikas, and Superintendent of Police Pratyush Dibakar. The CM Kanya Bibaha Yojana has become a cornerstone of Odisha’s welfare initiatives, symbolizing the state’s dedication to social justice and equality. By providing financial aid for marriages, the scheme not only alleviates economic burdens but also strengthens community bonds and promotes harmony.
