Argus News - Man Stabs Wife On Neck and Abdomen In Odisha's Angul District, Victim Critical

Angul, Apr 21: A shocking incident of violence was reported in Odisha's Angul district on Tuesday morning after a young woman was allegedly stabbed inside a KTM showroom near PTC Square, a source said.

The victim was identified as 23-year-old Tulasi Behera, wife of Luti Behera from Panchamahala under Angul Sadar Police Station area.

Following the assault, the victim was admitted to Angul District Headquarters Hospital in critical condition.

According to the complaint filed by the victim's mother, Tulasi had been married to Luti Behera for the past few years. The couple had been living separately due to some personal reasons. Tulasi was staying at her maternal place and working in the KTM showroom at PTC Square.

According to the source, Luti often used to visit Tulasi's workplace and engage in arguments. On Tuesday morning, Luti again showed up in the showroom and an altercation broke out between the couple. Later, the argument took an ugly twist when Luti allegedly attacked Tulasi with a knife, injuring the latter on the face and abdomen. Afterwards, Luti fled the scene.

Subsequently, Tulasi was taken to the hospital by her colleagues.
