Bhadrak, Sep 27: The flood situation continues in Bhadrak district, with over 1.84 lakh people affected across six blocks and two urban areas, according to the district administration's latest report.
As of 11 am on September 27, floods have affected 74 panchayats, 19 wards and 191 villages across Bhandaripokhari, Dhamnagar, Tihidi, Basudevpur, Bhadrak and Banta blocks, besides two municipal areas.
Of the total affected population, 52,851 people have been evacuated, while dry food has been distributed among those affected.
Relief Operations Underway
The district administration has opened 66 free kitchens in flood-affected areas. It has also deployed 13 water tankers, while 1,200 bottles of drinking water and 10,000 water pouches have been supplied.

On September 27 alone, 138.32 quintals of flattened rice and 15.16 quintals of jaggery were distributed. The cumulative distribution so far stands at 256.28 quintals of chuda and 42.7 quintals of jaggery.
Over 1.16 Lakh Livestock Affected
The floods have also affected 1,16,838 livestock, including 81,162 large animals and 35,676 small animals.
Vaccination has been administered to 600 animals, while 322 animals have received treatment.

Teams Deployed
The administration has deployed 18 medical teams and six veterinary teams to the affected areas. Two mobile water treatment units are also operating.
As many as 19 pregnant women have been shifted to health centres as a precautionary measure.
One ODRAF team has been deployed in Bhandaripokhari block for rescue operations.
