Bhubaneswar, Aug 19: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan here to assess the progress of two major redevelopment projects — the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and the Hanuman Bhatika spiritual complex in Rourkela, officials said.
The SCB Medical mega project aims to transform the institution into a world-class healthcare hub. The residential block is nearly finished, while the Chief Minister has directed officials to plan for an additional medicine block, with site identification to be expedited.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the ongoing construction of a multi-level car parking (MLCP) facility and associated infrastructure. CM Majhi stressed the need to complete these works within the stipulated timeline to ease traffic and parking for thousands of patients, attendants and doctors visiting SCB daily. He further instructed beautification of the Taladanda canal area, creation of wider roads, and landscaping to provide a modern environment around the hospital.
