Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi underscored his government’s priority of providing transparent, efficient, and merit-based employment opportunities to the state’s youth. He described government service not merely as a position but as a “sacred responsibility” to serve citizens with dedication, integrity, and accountability.
The Chief Minister noted that since June 2024, more than 45,000 young aspirants have been inducted into government service through the ongoing recruitment drive. He urged the new recruits to uphold the government’s zero tolerance policy against injustice, malpractice, and corruption, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every citizen, particularly those at the margins.

Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat”, stating that Odisha would serve as a leading
growth engine in realizing this national aspiration. He further highlighted the
state’s long-term goal of building a prosperous, inclusive, and self-reliant
Odisha by 2036, coinciding with the centenary year of the state.

The Rozgar Mela initiative has emerged as a key platform for expanding employment opportunities while strengthening the state’s administrative workforce. With over 45,000 recruitments completed in two years, the government has reiterated its focus on empowering youth and ensuring a transparent, merit-based recruitment process.
