Bhubaneswar, Jun 6: The Government of Odisha, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, has cleared 24 industrial investment proposals worth Rs3,793.33 crore at the 147th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Ms. Anu Garg, IAS. The projects, spread across 14 districts, are expected to generate 19,924 employment opportunities, marking a significant step in strengthening Odisha’s industrial ecosystem.

The approved projects span diverse sectors including steel and metal downstream industries, renewable energy, advanced materials, electronics and EV components, textiles and apparel, tourism and hospitality, infrastructure and logistics, food processing, consumer products, chemicals, and emerging technologies. This reflects Odisha’s strategy of building a diversified and resilient industrial base.

Among the key projects, CESC Green Power Limited will invest Rs683.83 crore in a Battery Energy Storage System in Dhenkanal, while AVP Star Private Limited will set up a Lab Grown Diamond manufacturing facility in Khordha with an investment of Rs500 crore. In textiles, Nandraj Textiles Private Limited’s apparel unit in Khordha will generate over 10,000 jobs, making it the largest employment-generating project in this clearance.

Tourism and hospitality also received a boost, with Swosti Premium Limited investing Rs250 crore in a five-star resort in Koraput, alongside several eco-resorts and hotels across Keonjhar, Puri, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, and Jagatsinghpur. In steel and downstream industries, JSW Severfields Structures Limited will establish a steel fabrication unit in Jajpur with an investment of Rs215 crore, creating 1,400 jobs.

Consumer products and food processing projects include Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages’ Rs300 crore expansion in Khordha, Jai Bhawani Foods’ bar soap unit in Cuttack, and Ekansh Agro Food Products’ food processing facility in Khordha. Logistics projects in Sambalpur and Balangir will further enhance industrial connectivity.

These approvals reaffirm Odisha’s position as a high-potential investment destination in Eastern India. The Single Window system continues to ensure time-bound clearances and proactive investor facilitation, aligning with the State’s long-term vision of Samruddha Odisha 2036 (Developed Odisha 2036), which emphasises employment-intensive growth, sustainable industrialisation, and balanced regional development.
