Odisha HSC Results 2026 Declared: 95.33% Pass, Girls Outperform Boys

Odisha Board of Secondary Education declared HSC 2026 results with 95.33% overall pass percentage; 5,19,251 regular students cleared the exam.
Cuttack, May 2: The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, on Saturday announced the results of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, with an overall pass percentage of 95.33%.

The results were declared at the board office in the presence of Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond.

Over 5.19 Lakh Students Pass
A total of 5,19,251 students in the regular category cleared the examination, including 2,56,099 boys and 2,63,152 girls, with girls outperforming boys.

As many as 5,61,979 candidates appeared at 3,082 centres across the state and 8,364 students were absent from the examinations.

District Performance
Gajapati district recorded the highest pass rate at 99.31%, while Keonjhar district registered the lowest.

Grade Distribution
As per BSE data:
A1 (90–100%): 2,453 students
A2 (80–89%): 15,684
B1 (70–79%): 43,565
B2 (60–69%): 86,103
C (50–59%): 1,29,813
D (40–49%): 1,46,152
E (33–39%): 95,481

As per BSE data, a total of 2,453 students secured A1 grades (90–100%), while 15,684 students fell in the A2 category (80–89%). In the B1 bracket (70–79%), 43,565 students were placed, and 86,103 students secured B2 grades (60–69%). Further, 1,29,813 students obtained C grades (50–59%), 1,46,152 fell under D (40–49%), and 95,481 students were placed in the E category (33–39%).

Notably, 17,055 students failed to pass the examination.

Ex-Regular Results
In the ex-regular category, 1,433 students appeared, of whom 217 passed, recording a pass rate of 14.16%.

Additional Exam Results
The pass percentage stood at 59.82% for the State Open School Certificate examination and 87.3% for the Madhyama examination.

How To Access Results?
Students can check their scorecards online from 6 pm on the official websites. Results can also be accessed via SMS by typing OR10 and sending it to 5676750.

Dates For Ex-regular Exam, Rechecking
The ex-regular examinations will be conducted in the first week of July.

Students can fill out forms from May 8 to May 18 by visiting the board’s official website. Online applications for rechecking will begin on May 4.

New Initiative
For the first time, BSE will issue certificates in both Odia and English.

The examinations were conducted from February 19 to March 2, 2026. Last year, the overall pass percentage stood at 96.7%.
