Cuttack, Oct 8: In preparation for the upcoming Bali Jatra festival, the Cuttack district administration has declared both upper and lower Bali Jatra grounds as a strict no-drone zone.
The announcement was made by the District Collector to ensure public safety and smooth conduct of the event.
The historic Bali Jatra will be held from November 5 to November 12 this year. To secure the venue and surrounding areas, the administration has imposed a no-fly zone from November 1 to November 15, covering a 5-kilometer radius around both festival grounds.
Within this restricted zone, flying of drones, hot air balloons, para-gliders, para-motors, and micro-light aircraft is strictly prohibited. Authorities have warned that any violation of these rules will invite stringent legal action.

This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the general public and dignitaries attending the event. Bali Jatra, one of Odisha’s largest cultural festivals, attracts lakhs of visitors every year, making crowd management and security a top priority.
The district administration has urged citizens and visitors to cooperate with the guidelines and refrain from using aerial devices during the festival period. Security personnel will be deployed to monitor compliance and prevent unauthorized aerial activity.
