Argus News - Narrow Escape For MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai After His Car Meets With Accident

Jagatsinghpur, Nov 29: Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai's car met with an accident near Hajipur Square on the Jagatsinghpur–Cuttack–Machhagaon road on Saturday.

According to reports, the MP was on his way for some work when his car was hit by another speeding vehicle near Hajipur Square. While there were no injury reported in the incident, quick response by local police ensured to make the situation under control.

Immediately, the car responsible for the collision, along with its driver, was detained and taken to Biridi police station for further investigation.


Traffic was temporarily suspended and later resumed following the seizure of vehicles for further investigation.

The incident has sparked concerns about road safety along the Jagatsinghpur–Cuttack route, a busy stretch that witnesses heavy traffic movement daily. Locals have pointed out that frequent accidents occur in the area due to reckless driving and inadequate monitoring.
