Deogarh, Mar 12: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly bludgeoned his wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter to death with an iron hammer over family dispute at Gariapali village under Kundheigola police station in Riamal block, Deogarh district.

The accused, identified as Ramesh Garia, reportedly fled the spot after the incident.

According to preliminary reports, the victims were asleep when Ramesh struck them repeatedly on the head, leaving them fatally injured. After committing the crime, Ramesh fled the scene, prompting an immediate police response.

On being informed, officers from Kundheigola police station rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.

The motive appears to be rooted in ongoing household quarrels, though authorities are probing deeper into the circumstances that led to such a violent outburst.
