One of the major attractions of Bali Jatra, the "Kataka in Kataka" pavilion, is also taking shape. This year, two theme-based pavilions will be developed jointly by the district administration and the civic body. Officials said the exhibits will highlight the city's rich heritage, cultural identity and developmental journey.

Electrification work is progressing rapidly across both fairgrounds, with workers engaged in laying cables and setting up infrastructure.

The Electricity Department has set a target to complete all electrification work by November 20. Special emphasis is being placed on uninterrupted power supply and public safety during the festival.

The civic authorities are also focusing on crowd management, security and basic amenities in anticipation of a massive turnout. Plot auctioning for traders began on November 2, while marking of stalls and designated commercial spaces is underway.

A special attraction this year will be the celebration of 150 years of the Kataka Municipal Corporation.

According to Mayor Subash Singh, the "Kataka in Kataka" pavilion will showcase the transformation of the city from old Kataka to a modern urban centre, tracing its 150-year journey of civic development.

Officials are confident that all preparations will be completed on schedule, ensuring a grand and well-organised edition of Bali Jatra.
