Jharsuguda, Sep 27: A wave of excitement swept through Jharsuguda on Saturday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived to inaugurate a series of transformative development projects valued at Rs 60,000 crore.

The city is witnessing elaborate arrangements, with a vibrant roadshow along a two-km stretch from the airport to the public meeting venue, where traditional dance and music performances took place on both sides of the road.

Security forces have been deployed at every point of the city with the Special Protection Group (SPG) taking control of the meeting ground.

Residents of Jharsuguda expressed pride and optimism, viewing the Prime Minister’s visit as a turning point for the region’s economic and social development.

Local officials and dignitaries have joined the event, highlighting the strategic importance of the projects for Odisha’s future.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate multiple development projects worth over Rs 60,000 crore.

These projects span various sectors, including telecommunications, railways, higher education, healthcare, skill development, and rural housing, among others.
