Keonjhar, Nov 12: A ITI student was hanging at his maternal house at Guludipasi village under Champua block in Keonjhar district.

The deceased, a resident of Baleswar village under Champua block, reportedly took the extreme step after being denied a mobile phone.

Upon discovering the body, family members and neighbours immediately alerted the local authorities.

Police personnel reached the scene and began a formal investigation. The body was recovered and sent to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination, which is expected to shed light on the exact cause and timing of death.

Police sources confirmed that they are exploring all possible angles, including the psychological state of the student and any underlying family or social pressures.

The incident has left the village in a state of mourning, with neighbours, friends, and relatives expressing deep sorrow over the untimely loss of a promising young life.
