The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the cyclone, currently intensifying over the Bay of Bengal, is likely to make landfall near Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh by Tuesday evening or night.

According to IMD officials, the system is gaining strength rapidly and is likely to bring torrential downpours, gusty winds, and potential flooding in low-lying areas.
The districts under red alert include Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Cuttack.
