Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: A relentless spell of heavy rain on Wednesday brought Bhubaneswar to a standstill, causing widespread waterlogging and severe traffic disruptions across key parts of the city.
Commuters faced long delays as vehicles crawled through flooded roads, and several low-lying areas were submerged under knee-deep water.
Major thoroughfares such as Master Canteen, Rasulgarh, Vani Vihar and Jaydev Vihar witnessed traffic snarls, with stranded vehicles and frustrated commuters battling the deluge.
The situation worsened as rainwater entered homes and commercial establishments in Bhubaneswar’s Unit 1 locality, adding to the residents’ distress.
