Berhampur, Jan 29: A college student was allegedly assaulted by two unidentified youths in front of Higher Secondary School in Pudamari under Sanakhemundi block in Odisha’s Ganjam district, a source said on Thursday.
According to the source, the incident took place near the school premises when two youths suddenly approached the student and attacked her before fleeing the spot. The reasons behind the assault are yet to be ascertained.
The injured student was initially rushed to Digapahandi Community Health Centre for treatment. However, as her condition deteriorated, she was later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for advanced medical care. Hospital sources said her condition remains critical.
