Boudh, Sept 2: Purunakatak police on Monday night conducted a surprise raid at a shop located at market area of Purunakatak here and seized massive cache of ganja.
Acting on a tip-off received by Inspector Arun Singh, a special team led by Sub-Inspector Sasmita Magar raided the premises under the direction of the IIC. Upon entering the shop, police officials discovered 78.4 kilograms of ganja, with an estimated market value exceeding Rs 6 lakh.
During the operation, it was ascertained that the shop, owned by Ranjan Sathua, was allegedly operating as a front for illegal ganja trade.
