New Delhi, Sep 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national President Nintin Nabin on Wednesday appointed former Union Minister D Purandeswari as its State In-Charge (Prabhari) for Odisha, replacing Vijaypal Singh Tomar. 

The BJP, which appointed in-charges for all 36 states, also named senior party leader Dr. Swadesh Singh as Co-In-Charge (Saha Prabhari) for the Odisha unit.

• Haryana: Smriti Irani as In-Charge; Dr. Bhola Singh as Co-In-Charge.
• Maharashtra: Baijayant Jay Panda and Amit Malviya as In-Charges; Satyanand Shet Nanavle and Kamaljeet Sahrawat as Co-In-Charges.
• Punjab: Dr. Satish Poonia as In-Charge; Harish Khurana and Dr. Jayanti Gurjar as Co-In-Charges.

The notification, signed by BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, stated that these appointments are effective immediately.
