Bhubaneswar, Dec 5: The Odia Literary Trail under Ekamra Walks, an initiative of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), is scheduled every Sunday till February 2026, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The trail invites citizens, students, and culture enthusiasts to explore Odisha’s literary and linguistic legacy through a rich line-up of performances and expert sessions, officials said on Friday.
Folk Performance Highlight
This weekend’s centrepiece will be the traditional “Sabar Sabaruni Nata”, performed by a folk troupe from Boudh district. Rooted in indigenous rituals and oral traditions, the act provides a rare glimpse into Odisha’s tribal heritage, showcasing the vibrancy of community-based art forms.
Storytelling Session
Adding to the cultural tapestry, a professional storyteller
will enact ‘Nila Mastarani’, a timeless tale penned by Pandit Godabarisha
Mohapatra. The performance aims to bring Odia literature and folklore alive,
blending narrative artistry with audience participation.
