Addressing a large gathering, Pradhan emphasized that Talcher’s growth must be a collective mission, transcending political divides, and called for active cooperation from all stakeholders. He underscored that the allocation was designed in proportion to the city’s growing population and urged authorities to ensure efficient execution of projects under the District Mineral Fund and Chief Minister’s Urban Development Scheme, covering roads, education, healthcare, agriculture, and allied infrastructure.
Highlighting Talcher’s historical and cultural significance, Pradhan described it as the “centre of India’s energy and power” and the land of revolutionary Pavitra Mohan Pradhan and the Prajamandal movement. He said this legacy continues to inspire service to the nation. Among the proposals outlined were the establishment of a new zoological park, an art college for children with creative interests, and the upgradation of Rani Park.
