for a healthy society.
'ସ୍ୱଚ୍ଛତା' ହିଁ ସେବାକୁ ଜନଆନ୍ଦୋଳନରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା। ‘ସେବା ସଂକଳ୍ପ ଅଭିଯାନ’ ଅବସରରେ ସମ୍ବଲପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନ ଓ ସମ୍ବଲପୁର ମ୍ୟୁନିସିପାଲ୍ କର୍ପୋରେସନ୍ର ମିଳିତ ସହଯୋଗରେ ଆଜି ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ୫୦୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ସ୍ୱଚ୍ଛତା ଅଭିଯାନରେ ପାଖାପାଖି ୧ ଲକ୍ଷରୁ ଅଧିକ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାସେବୀ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି । ଏହି ଜନଆନ୍ଦୋଳନରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ଜନପ୍ରତିନିଧି, ଯୁବସାଥୀ, ମହିଳା ସଂଗଠନ, ସାମାଜିକ ସଂଗଠନ, ସ୍କୁଲ ଓ କଲେଜର ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ ସକ୍ରିୟ ଅଂଶଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ସମ୍ବଲପୁରକୁ ସ୍ୱଚ୍ଛ ଓ ସୁନ୍ଦର କରିବାରେ ଏକ ଅନୁସରଣୀୟ ଉଦାହରଣ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଅଂଶଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିବା ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ । Turning ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ into a people’s movement. Participating in the campaign on the occasion of ‘Mahalaya’, Pradhan joined volunteers, students, youth groups, intellectuals, public representatives and local residents in cleanliness activities at various locations across the district. He also urged people to actively contribute towards keeping their surroundings clean and hygienic.
Addressing the participants, Pradhan said cleanliness should not be viewed merely as a routine civic exercise but as a habit that reflects social responsibility. He noted that the campaign, organised by the Sambalpur district administration and the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation, was aimed at transforming sanitation into a people's movement inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.

✨According to the organisers, nearly one lakh people participated in cleanliness drives across the district. The campaign covered neighbourhoods, public spaces and community areas, with citizens voluntarily joining efforts to improve sanitation and public hygiene.
Pradhan said the large-scale participation had created a positive example ahead of Navratri and demonstrated the collective commitment of people towards building a cleaner Sambalpur. He emphasised that improved sanitation would not only contribute to better public health but also enhance tourism prospects and support overall development.
Referring to the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, Pradhan said
Mahatma Gandhi had regarded cleanliness as a virtue of utmost importance and
that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had transformed the idea into a nationwide
mass movement through sustained public participation.

The MP also appealed to citizens to keep their surroundings free from waste, avoid the use of single-use plastic and make cleanliness a part of their everyday lives. Such collective efforts, he said, would play a crucial role in realising the vision of a developed Odisha and a developed India.
Notably, more than one lakh volunteers reportedly took part in cleanliness activities organised at over 500 locations across Sambalpur district. Pradhan administered a cleanliness pledge to participants and thanked them for supporting the initiative aimed at building a cleaner, greener and more sustainable district.
