Dharmendra Pradhan Congratulates Indian Idol Winner Jyotirmayee Nayak, Praises Her Musical Journey

Bhubaneswar, Aug 7: Indian Idol Season 16 winner Jyotirmayee Nayak met former Union Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan at his residence, where she presented her winner's trophy and sought his blessings.

During the meeting, Jyotirmayee shared her journey to winning the prestigious singing reality show, speaking about the challenges she overcame and the determination that helped her secure the title.

MP Praises Musical Achievement And Humanitarian Work
Pradhan congratulated the singer on her remarkable achievement and praised her contribution beyond the stage. He lauded her efforts as a music therapist, using music to support cancer patients at hospitals across Odisha.

He also commended her for bringing pride to the state by outperforming hundreds of contestants from across the country to emerge as the winner of Indian Idol Season 16.

National Recognition For Odisha Singer
24-year-old Jyotirmayee, from Baunsanal village in Nilgiri block of Balasore district, won the Indian Idol Season 16 title after months of standout performances on the Sony Entertainment Television singing reality show.

She clinched the trophy with a powerful rendition of 'Saiyaan O Saiyaan' in the grand finale, defeating finalists Anshika Chonkar, Manraj Veer Singh, Myscmme Bosu, Suhail Sufi and Tanishk Shukla. Along with the winner's trophy, she received a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki Brezza car.

Already an established playback singer in the Odia music industry, Jyotirmayee is also a trained music therapist who works with cancer patients and expectant mothers through music-based healing. Her victory marks a significant milestone in a musical journey that has earned her national recognition while making Odisha proud.
