The system over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining areas is expected to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Andaman Sea around October 31. It is likely to intensify further and move towards the Andhra Pradesh coast over the subsequent two days, the regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar forecast on Friday.

Meanwhile, the depression, which was the remnant of Cyclone Arnab, moved nearly northwards before weakening into a well-marked low-pressure area over north Chhattisgarh and adjoining north-west Odisha on the evening of October 29, the weather agency added.
