Puri, Sep 15: An 86-year-old woman from Polasara in Ganjam district, who was declared dead and was brought to Swargadwar cremation ground in Puri for the final rites, miraculously regained consciousness
The woman, identified as P. Laxmi, miraculously regained consciousness moments before her final rites were to be performed.
According to reports, the woman was brought to Swargadwar in an ambulance earlier this afternoon, believing she had passed away. However, due to the absence of a medical death certificate, cremation staff at Swargadwar refused to proceed with the last rites and asked the family to present official documentation.
While waiting, staff members approached the body and were stunned to find signs of life.
Laxmi, who had been presumed dead, suddenly moved—leaving both her family and the cremation workers in shock and disbelief.
