The meeting brought together key officials and department heads to ensure coordinated disaster management and response strategies.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari and Chief Secretary were present alongside senior officials including Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Agriculture Secretary, and Health Secretary. Their discussions focused on readiness across critical sectors such as food supply, healthcare, and emergency services.
Also in attendance were the Secretaries of Panchayati Raj and Energy, Director General of Police (DGP), and Director General of Fire Services. The Chief Minister emphasised proactive measures, interdepartmental coordination, and community-level awareness to minimize potential damage and safeguard lives.
The meeting underscored the importance of swift action, resource mobilization, and real-time monitoring as Cyclone 'Montha' approaches the Odisha coast.
