Bhubaneswar, Feb 7: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will review the state budget on Saturday. Various departments will be present during the review discussion, which includes talks over the expenditure of the 2025-26 financial year and proposals for the upcoming budget.
The review meeting is scheduled at 3 PM on Saturday in the conference hall on the third floor of Lok Seva Bhavan. The meeting will see participation from the Chief Secretary as well as secretaries from all the departments.
The state Budget will be presented in the Legislative
Assembly on February 20.

Chief Secretary Anu Garg had said that 19 eminent personalities, including a former finance minister, former finance secretaries and various stakeholders, shared their suggestions during the meeting. In addition, around 2,000 individuals submitted their views online.

On Friday, CM Majhi outlined the state’s technology and investment roadmap at the inaugural India Black Swan Summit 2026. President Droupadi Murmu was also present at the event.
The Odisha Chief Minister said that the summit aims to bring together governments, institutions and companies to develop sustainable projects and strengthen collaboration in emerging sectors.
“Odisha has undertaken structural reforms to improve the investment climate, including simplifying business processes, strengthening single-window systems and introducing policies for information technology, electronics, financial technology and artificial intelligence (AI),” stated CM Majhi.
Referring to the state’s industrial push, he said projects
worth more than ₹2.5 lakh crore have been inaugurated or had foundation stones
laid within a year of the Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha programme held in
January 2025.
