Speaking about the core ideology of BMS, Himte said: “BMS prioritises and works keeping national interest, interest towards industrial development, as well as welfare of labour workers in mind.”
In addition, he said that work culture and job security both are important for labour workers. “We have to respect and maintain the work culture. Then, if we have job security, this will not only help the labourers, but help the nation achieve its goal and achieve the government’s dream of Viksit Bharat,” asserted Himte.
When asked about the new labour codes, Himte said that they support all four labour codes. However, he also mentioned that the BMS objected to some points, included in the labour cade. “Those were not favourable to labour workers,” he stated.
Himte, however, said that Union Labour Minister Mansukh
Mandaviya has assured them to discuss those issues and find a solution.
