Bhubaneswar, Jun 16: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on
Tuesday chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to finalise
security and administrative arrangements for the upcoming joint visit of
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha, officials
said.
President Murmu and PM Modi are scheduled to attend state-level celebrations at
Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district on June 19–20, marking the completion of two
years of the BJP government in Odisha and twelve years of the Union government
in power.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anu Garg,
Adviser to the CM and former DGP Prakash Mishra, DGP Y.B. Khurania, senior Home
Department officials, and other top bureaucrats.

According to the official sources, a detailed discussion was held on the blueprint for security, VVIP movement, and inter-departmental coordination. The Chief Minister directed officials to maintain strict vigilance and seamless cooperation across agencies to ensure flawless execution of the high-profile programme.

✨President Murmu will arrive in Mayurbhanj on June 19 for a two-day visit, coinciding with her birthday on June 20. She will spend the day in her native Rairangpur, where the state government and local administration are preparing elaborate arrangements. CM Majhi described her presence in her birthplace as a matter of pride for all Odias.
On June 20, PM Modi will join the President in Rairangpur
for a state-level celebration. Both leaders are expected to address a massive
public gathering and jointly inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several
mega projects worth thousands of crores. These include a long-awaited railway
project, a coal gasification initiative, and multiple developmental programmes
in health and infrastructure.

The President is also scheduled to inaugurate health-related projects at the Rairangpur Sub-Divisional Hospital on June 19. Officials said the joint visit would accelerate Odisha’s development trajectory and serve as a milestone in the state’s progress.
Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said the combined presence of the President and Prime Minister would further strengthen Odisha’s growth momentum under the “double engine” government.
