Keonjhar, Oct 21: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi demonstrated his commitment to public service during his visit to his native village Raikala in Keonjhar district.
On the second day of his three-day tour, the Chief Minister was en route from Keonjhar Circuit House when he was stopped by a group of locals standing along the roadside with grievances.
Without hesitation, CM Majhi stepped out and patiently listened to the concerns raised by the people. This impromptu interaction highlighted his accessibility and willingness to engage directly with citizens.
After addressing the public, the Chief Minister proceeded to
Raikala to participate in the traditional Govardhan Puja celebrations at his
residence.

The event was marked by cultural rituals and community participation. CM Majhi joined the festivities with enthusiasm, taking part in the puja and later playing the traditional madal drum, adding to the celebratory spirit of Diwali.
The Chief Minister had also celebrated Diwali in Raikala on Monday evening, participating in the Kudumi community’s Goth Puja. His active involvement in local traditions and festivals was warmly received by the villagers, who expressed joy and pride in his presence.
Following the Govardhan Puja, CM Majhi is scheduled to
return to Keonjhar by 6 PM and visit various Kali Puja pandals across the town,
continuing his festive engagements and public outreach.
