Khordha, Apr 8: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi arrived at Bhuinpur in Begunia, Khordha district, on Wednesday and laid foundation stones for several industrial projects in the state.
Accompanied by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and Begunia MLA Prashant Jagdev, the Chief Minister formally launched and initiated groundwork for 36 industrial projects with a combined investment of Rs 40,811 crore.
The event marks a significant milestone in Odisha’s industrial development strategy, aimed at boosting employment, infrastructure, and economic growth.
The projects span diverse sectors including manufacturing, food processing, textiles, and renewable energy, reflecting the state’s commitment to diversifying its industrial base.
Officials highlighted that these projects are expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, while also strengthening Odisha’s position as an emerging industrial hub in eastern India.
Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi underscored the importance of industrialization in empowering local communities and driving inclusive growth.
