Bhubaneswar, Sep 23: In a shocking incident, a bus helper was reportedly abducted from the Baramunda Bus Stand in Bhubaneswar late Monday evening.

According to reports, the helper, Jayanta Biswal, was taking rest in the bus stand when some miscreants blindfolded the victim and forcibly abducted him from the busy terminal. Subsequently, they dumped him on the roadside at Gothapatana in a critical condition.

On being informed by locals, police reached the spot and rescued the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police launched an investigation and reportedly arrested one accused, Ashutosh Mohanty, while others are on the run.

While the motive behind the abduction remains unclear, preliminary reports suggest possible personal or professional disputes might have resulted in the incident.
