Despite efforts, his condition worsened, prompting doctors to refer him to the Boudh District Headquarters Hospital. Tragically, Subrat died on the way before reaching the facility.

Relatives have accused the attending doctor of negligence, claiming that the wrong treatment and injection cost Subrat his life. The incident triggered tension in the region, with grieving family members demanding accountability.

Police reached the CHC soon after the incident, seized the body, and began an investigation. Meanwhile, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Boudh reacted strongly, stating that the death of a healthy young man from a minor ailment raises serious concerns. The CDMO assured that the exact cause of death will be determined only after a thorough police investigation.

As the probe continues, the community awaits clarity on whether Subrat’s death was indeed the result of medical malpractice or an unforeseen complication.
