Odisha / Bomb Squads, Dog Units: Central Advisory Triggers Tightened Security At Bhubaneswar Airport

Bhubaneswar, Nov 11: In the wake of the recent blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station, security has been tightened at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, following directives from the central government.
A three-day security alert has been issued, prompting enhanced surveillance and rigorous checking across all airport zones.
According to reports, both arrival and departure terminals are under intensified scrutiny.
Quick Response Teams (QRTs), bomb squads, and dog squads have been deployed to patrol the premises continuously, both inside and outside the airport.

✨Security has also been ramped up near all naka posts, and thorough checks are being conducted on passengers and cargo alike.
Officials confirmed that 100% screening is being enforced,
including checks near aircraft ladders and sensitive zones.

Besides, CCTV surveillance has been activated across the airport, and multiple teams have been assigned to monitor real-time footage.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines are being strictly followed to ensure maximum safety.
Airport Director Prasanna Pradhan stated that the advisory will remain in effect for the next three days, and all security protocols are being executed with utmost diligence.
