Meena, a 2013-batch IPS officer, had assumed charge as Bhubaneswar DCP on February 28, 2025.

Speaking on his decision, Meena said he had resigned due to personal reasons.
"I have resigned for personal reasons. I had a fulfilling career in the police service over the years and had the opportunity to serve in several parts of Odisha," he said.

Served In Multiple Key Assignments
Before taking charge as Bhubaneswar DCP, Meena served in several important policing assignments across the state. He was Superintendent of Police (SP) in Angul and Ganjam districts and also served as DCP of the Cuttack Urban Police District. Later, his appointment as Bhubaneswar DCP came in February 2025.
Speculation Over Next Move
While Meena has attributed his resignation solely to personal reasons, discussions have emerged regarding his future plans. There is speculation that the 37-year-old officer may join a private company associated with his relatives.
